So, Niv and I were back at the ship, snuggling like we usually do, and we looked at each other and decided that we desperately needed to do something new. So I did what I normally do when I don’t know where I want to go; I cracked open the destination guide and it lead me to a sim I haven’t been to in a very, very long time.
Offworld Colonies is a really fun build to run around in and explore. It’s got several futuristic buildings and structures to climb around in and even a weird alien tomb with smoke coming out of it that you can hover over.
See how huge that knife is?!
Anyway, we continued on our little adventure and ended up stranded in the middle of the ocean. I decided that since he’d tried to stab me earlier, it would be up to him to locate and guide us back to civilization. It’s only fair, ya know?
After looking out into the expanse that was the ocean, for about five minutes, we decided that our best course of action was to go for a swim. We swam for what felt like an eternity, before we saw it. We saw a simple pole sticking up out of the ocean, and was we looked up, we took in the great sight of…an art gallery? Yes, we managed to find a seemingly abandoned art gallery out in the middle of nowhere. It was home to some rather lovely artwork featuring some Native Americans.
All in all, this is defiantly an interesting and well put together piece of art that made me realize what it is that I love about this virtual world. I love the artistic and creative freedom that such a medium can afford us. It’s both a thrilling and humbling experience to be able to climb around, enjoy and explore someone else’s creations.
